Monroe Jackson Rathbone V…
…was born December 14, 1984. Jackson, who now resides in Los Angeles, was born in Singapore to American parents Randee Lynn and Monroe (This name kills me *every* time. Like, total swoonfest) Jackson Rathbone IV. He’s well travelled due to his father’s job at Mobil Oil.
He is well trained in the arts and planned to go to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, but diverted and instead went on to Los Angeles to pursue his career in film acting.
While most of us may have come to know Jackson through his role as Jasper Hale in Twilight, he has played many notable characters, and busy schedule aside, he continues to tour with his band the 100 Monkeys.
Want more of Jackson, but not sure where to find him? Disney 411, The O.C., The Last Airbender, S. Darko, No Ordinary Family, just to name a few. And… rumor has it, he’s taken up the lead in a teen action series; Aim High, playing high school junior Nick Green.
Now, I know many of you can’t fathom Bella with anyone but Edward, but there are many fics out there that reason why Jasper is the better option. He’s protective, lost, would have given her what she wanted most but couldn’t get Edward to agree to, his ability gives him the upper hand, as he always knows what she’s feeling, and while this may bother Bella, it can also keep her, the often Damsel in Distress, safe. That doesn’t mean you can’t love Edward. I prefer to leave my options open and enjoy the best of all ships.
There are also many great Jasper/Alice fics, especially ones that explore their relationship before they united with the Cullens.
